Albuquerque visit!

So last weekend we visited Albuquerque for Mitch's (Dave's brother) homecoming from his mission. It's pretty interesting to reflect on what's happened over the last two years since he left. And the fact that I couldn't remember if some of them were before or after him leaving. I really need to work on that whole memory thing.

But it was pretty fun. We went to the Albuquerque temple and went shooting and went to church and got to hear Mitch speak and spent a nice quiet afternoon with the family and just with us. I've decided it is really good to plan in some lazy time into vacation because otherwise you come home feeling more stressed out than when you left!

Work right now for me is CRAZY! There's just been quite a bit of stuff that happened over the last two weeks that has caused a bit of a scramble and a couple of late nights so far. And probably will cause a few more. I almost missed date night on Friday but managed to make it out just in time.

Most other than that evenings have been pretty quiet, Dave's got homework, I help him out on some stuff. We finished the two seasons of White Collar that are on Netflix and are now on the lookout for a new show. I have a feeling it might take a while. After all, we already have Bones and Psych and now White Collar, some pretty high expectations ;)

Married Bliss

So life has been pretty chill the last few weeks. I might be finally adjusted to having a non-canine roommate again, although it is a little weird to have it feel so normal to be domestic (cooking, dishes, laundry, etc)

I think I have discovered that when you actually eat dinner at your kitchen table instead of the coffee table. But, we do go through a lot more ice cream when there are two of us because I can't let him out eat me.

We did have an awesome date night on Friday. We went to the National Museum of Crime and Punishment (I'm kind of a forensic show nut). It was super fun! Got to see all sorts of criminals from bank robbers to serial killers and got prison tattoos! Yes, Dave is significantly more menacing of a jailbird than me.
